Shayar in me

In Confrontations in life. on December 3, 2011 at 2:19 AM

Tonight i feel like wordpressing some shayari. Dont know where these thoughts come from but they certainly are worth publishing.

Situation: Post fight scenario between two lovers.
Tere labon se woh shabd nikle jo dil cheer gaye,
k pehli baar laga yeh mohabbat nahi hai.

Har alfaz pe hum sehem gaye, toot gaye,
aaj tere chehre pe woh raunak nahi hai.

Mujhse pehle bhi hui thi khata janeman,
yeh khata lekin qabil-e- bayaan nahi hai.

Teri aankhon mey dekha jab woh chupi si nami,
ehsaas hua yeh mamlaa bas yun-hi nahi hai.

kya bataun tujhe k mai hoon aur-o se judaa,
meri fidrat mey woh zakhm- faroshi nahi hai.

tujhe udaas dekh k hua yeh ehsaas,
k yeh jo tujhme hai woh tujh sa nahi hai.

meri galti thi k mai hua tujhse yun khafa,
kyu ki teri galti kabhi  bhi, galti nahi hai.

Ab mat kar mujhpe sitam, ae zalim,
k tere siva meri koi arzoo nahi hai…!

P.S. Fights make the relationships grow stronger. Just a thought.
Comment if you like 🙂

Date a girl who reads

In Facts & Humour on March 15, 2011 at 12:19 AM

Well this is one of the few most amazing blog posts I have ever come across. Oh first of all, Howdy everyone! Howz life goin? Okie, now back to topic. I found this post on a blog. Its amazing! So I thought of sharing it with everyone else.  Altough its not my original work, but its worth a blog mention!

Date a girl who reads. Date a girl who spends her money on books instead of clothes. She has problems with closet space because she has too many books. Date a girl who has a list of books she wants to read, who has had a library card since she was twelve.

Find a girl who reads. You’ll know that she does because she will always have an unread book in her bag. She’s the one lovingly looking over the shelves in the bookstore, the one who quietly cries out when she finds the book she wants. You see the weird chick sniffing the pages of an old book in a second hand book shop? That’s the reader. They can never resist smelling the pages, especially when they are yellow.

She’s the girl reading while waiting in that coffee shop down the street. If you take a peek at her mug, the non-dairy creamer is floating on top because she’s kind of engrossed already. Lost in a world of the author’s making. Sit down. She might give you a glare, as most girls who read do not like to be interrupted. Ask her if she likes the book.

Buy her another cup of coffee.

Let her know what you really think of Murakami. See if she got through the first chapter of Fellowship. Understand that if she says she understood James Joyce’s Ulysses she’s just saying that to sound intelligent.  Ask her if she loves Alice or she would like to be Alice.

It’s easy to date a girl who reads. Give her books for her birthday, for Christmas and for anniversaries. Give her the gift of words, in poetry, in song. Give her Neruda, Pound, Sexton, Cummings. Let her know that you understand that words are love. Understand that she knows the difference between books and reality but by god, she’s going to try to make her life a little like her favorite book. It will never be your fault if she does.

She has to give it a shot somehow.

Lie to her. If she understands syntax, she will understand your need to lie. Behind words are other things: motivation, value, nuance, dialogue. It will not be the end of the world.

Fail her. Because a girl who reads knows that failure always leads up to the climax. Because girls who understand that all things will come to end. That you can always write a sequel. That you can begin again and again and still be the hero. That life is meant to have a villain or two.

Why be frightened of everything that you are not? Girls who read understand that people, like characters, develop. Except in the Twilight series.

If you find a girl who reads, keep her close. When you find her up at 2 AM clutching a book to her chest and weeping, make her a cup of tea and hold her. You may lose her for a couple of hours but she will always come back to you. She’ll talk as if the characters in the book are real, because for a while, they always are.

You will propose on a hot air balloon. Or during a rock concert. Or very casually next time she’s sick. Over Skype.

You will smile so hard you will wonder why your heart hasn’t burst and bled out all over your chest yet. You will write the story of your lives, have kids with strange names and even stranger tastes. She will introduce your children to the Cat in the Hat and Aslan, maybe in the same day. You will walk the winters of your old age together and she will recite Keats under her breath while you shake the snow off your boots.

Date a girl who reads because you deserve it. You deserve a girl who can give you the most colorful life imaginable. If you can only give her monotony, and stale hours and half-baked proposals, then you’re better off alone. If you want the world and the worlds beyond it, date a girl who reads.

Or better yet, date a girl who writes.

Thanks Rosemarie for opening up the world of the girl, who reads. 🙂

Expression of Love

In Toon Series on June 19, 2010 at 12:56 PM

This is a very difficult thing to write about. Expressing love is complicated. However, i have been thinking of this picture for a long time, i guess i have seen something similar long back, which i now don’t remember.
wasn’t getting the required Inspiration for making it, which finally someone gave me.
And here I am..Have finally made this pic!

The name field is blank. 🙂

Please add your comments and make it worth the hard work. 🙂
Cheers to life!

What i wish

In Confrontations in life. on November 2, 2009 at 1:29 PM

They ask me what I wish,
And I really have got desires

I want a land of no betrayal
Where people are not up for just survival
Though I know not if i will ever find one
Such a wish seems surreal

Faces which I recognize now,
I wish they could be as good deep inside,
For the skin doesnt reflect it,
What lies beneath is the truth

Why do i need to crawl along,
when my desire is for speed
I want it all to get moving
To fulfil what i do need

I want a change in attitude
so people dont pull each other for own good
Why can people be not selfish
When do we get a reason to relish

I want them all to live, not survive,
I wish they could all feel the vibe
This is the right time you always wait for
to get things done and more.

There is this desire for affection
which sometimes you get from strangers
why cant your own people be nice
when sometimes the unknown do surprise

Why do we need to call it yours and mine
when we know it is all just ours
and they ask me what i wish,
i really have got, desires…

What is love?

In Generic on October 25, 2009 at 10:49 PM

This ain’t my own post. So there is no need to panic all you girls out there.  I am still available 🙂

Okay. Jokes apart,  these are a few lines by one good friend of mine (Simran). Just posting them cause i liked them and hopefully everyone else reading it will like it too.

Here it goes. It is all about love. The feelings, emotions, attachments, and all the stuff that a person goes through when he/she is in love. A wonderful expression of all the happenings ( mishappenings maybe) in love. The way it works, and the way it makes you work. Simple lines they are, but only the ones truly, deeply in love will understand the underlying meaning.

WHAT IS LOVE

Something that created us
A feeling of togetherness
It changes shape and form
but never dies & lives on

It could have a thousand names
& at times is faceless
It is the magical potion of immortality

Love is cool  as the sea breeze
It has the warmth of the fire
It creates a desire in you,
the more you get it, the more you yearn for it

Love is beautiful
It is ageless & youthful
Love is within you
Love is inside me,

And expression & shower,
Only makes it grow,
by manifolds…

Love is lively,
It fills you with euphoria
Love raises you high
and at times smashes you to the ground

A feeling of Strength at times
and at times it drains you out
Love can move mountains,
& sometimes also floats in the air,

Love is wonderful
Cheerful, Ultimate
Love is yours forever & ever.

When smiles keep you going

fairy1

If the whole world were a garden

she got all the thorns

whatever came in the way, pricked

Still she looks at me and smiles,

.

If suffering forever too seems like luxury

for what she has faced is worse

her heart was shattered time and again

Still she looks at me and smiles,

.

If even giving away all was not sacrifice

for that she renounced was even more

nothing was left which she could claim

Still she looks at me and smiles,

.

If all she wanted was a true friend

for she has faced only betrayal

God felt it was too much of a thing

Still she looks at me and smiles,

.

For I could do nothing but be her friend

for that is all she ever wanted

i could not stop my eyes from getting moist

Still she looks at me, and, smiles…

Soulful lines, for the angel.

In All Stuff in here. on August 17, 2009 at 4:38 AM

It was one mighty weekend! Had a good time lazing around after a week-long job affair. Independence day saw us all lying at home having no business with the country, listening to patroitic songs and trying to show love for the country. However, that is what happens all the time. Just yesterday night was i listening to fever FM on my phone when such a melody striked my ears that i couldn’t help but publish the lines,. So here they come, the lines, in praise of my beautiful, angellic friend, who occupied my mind all the time when the song was playing…

Arz kiya hai,

Kal chaudvi ki raat thi, shab bhar raha charcha tera,

Kuch ne kaha yeh chand hai,

kuch ne kaha yeh chaand hai, kuch ne kaha chehera tera.

Hum bhi wahin maujud the

hum bhi wahin maujud the,

humse bhi sab poocha kiye,

hum hans diye..hum chup rahe,

Manzoor tha parda tera.

Is sehar mey kisse milen, Humse toh choothi mehfilen

Is sehar mey kisse milen

humse toh chooti mehfilen,

Har shaks tera naam le,

Kar shaks tera naam le,

Har shaks deewana tera…

Kuch ne kaha yeh chaand hai, kuch ne kaha…chehera tera…

I dont know how appealing these lines are to other people but they touched my heart for sure, coz they praise the beautiful imaginary friend of mine.

I haven’t pirated lines from a song or from other writers of late, but these lines are irresistble, and it is by these that you gain some inspiration for original work. There is so much to life, so much in life, which is unexplored, for us to discover, for the rest of our lives.

With love in heart, prayer on lips and electricity in mind, here I am, all set for a new week, starting today. Lets make this week a better one.

Cheerz
